For the initial release of Übercart, there is a well defined API for processing and tracking credit card payments. However, there are no real payment gateway modules to handle the communication between your site and the payment gateway's web service. These will be ported as time goes on from other projects or developed from scratch, and we invite you to join with us in providing these modules for the Übercart community. Check out the documentation and ask questions in the forum if anything seems unclear.
